*Location:* Lubbock Gastroenterology & Liver Associates (LGLA), Lubbock, Texas

*Position Summary*
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive gastroenterology care under the supervision of a physician. This role supports the clinic’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining clinical excellence, efficiency, and teamwork.
The NP evaluates, diagnoses, and manages patients with gastrointestinal and liver-related disorders, provides patient education, develops treatment plans, and collaborates closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Both Full-Time and Part-Time schedules are available based on clinic location and patient volume.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Perform detailed assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with gastrointestinal and liver-related concerns.
* Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory work, imaging, and endoscopic results.
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver disease.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment and follow-up care plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
* Prescribe medications, therapies, and diagnostic interventions as appropriate and within scope of practice.
* Provide patient education regarding disease processes, medication adherence, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless coordination of care.
* Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation in accordance with LGLA policies and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in staff meetings, clinical training, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
* Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and legal standards in accordance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations and LGLA protocols.
*Qualifications and Requirements*
* Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
* Current and unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner license
* National certification as an FNP, AGNP, or ACNP
* Minimum of one (1) year of NP experience preferred
* Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine experience is a plus, but not required
* *Bilingual in English and Spanish required*

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
